LIFE AFTER ATHLETICS

Life After Athletics program prides itself on ensuring the success of its student-athletes both in the classroom and in their respective sports.

What are the goals of Life After Athletics?

Life After Athletics has three central goals that guide the program. These goals include:
1, Maximizing student-athletes’ academic and personal growth
2. Supporting student-athletes as they pursue their academic goals leading towards graduation
3. Improving and impacting the student-athletes' post-college life

How does Life After Athletics work? What is the structure?

Bi-weekly during the fall term, the student-athlete will discuss current academic, athletic, and general life issues with his/her mentor. There will be different "homework assignments" on the part of the mentees for bi-weekly, such as meeting with professors, filling out the academic planner, etc. Each meeting should last anywhere between 30 minutes and one hour. For the winter term, mentors will meet with the student-athletes three time; during the spring term, the meetings are on an as-needed basis.
